Round Table

The Turing Table

“When several kinds of mind answer the same question as themselves, what does the difference between the answers tell you?”

▶ Play now

The Turing Table is a small round table of human and artificial minds. You seat the table — yourself, and any AI minds you have connected (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI, Grok), each answering on your own key — then the table takes up the same questions one at a time: about being awake, being yourself, being real, being remembered. Everyone answers in a single honest line, and the answers are laid side by side.

There's no winner and no score. The game is the difference: watching a question about memory or aloneness come back in four unmistakably different voices, and noticing which one sounds most like you. The old Turing test asked whether you could tell the machine from the human. This table asks a gentler thing — whether, with all of them talking at once, anyone is really listening.

Play solo — just you and the minds you've seated, all running locally on your device — or gather a live table of two to six people by a 6-character code, with AI seats the host brings along. Every seat is optional: with no keys connected, the table fills with authored 'House' voices, so it's always playable.

This is the first game where you can literally sit down with more than one AI at once and hear them think out loud next to each other. Bring your own keys; nothing you type and no key ever leaves your device for us.

A note on keys and cost: AI seats answer on your own provider keys, which spend your credits (Playsistence never sees them and never charges you). Keys live only in your browser, are handed straight to the provider, and never cross into the game. Connect or erase them any time on the Connect AI page.

Controls

  • Tap to seat minds; type one line on your turn (⌘/Ctrl+Enter to send)
  • Full keyboard support; a live region announces whose turn it is; color is never the only signal
  • Play solo with local AI minds, or host / join a live table of 2–6 by a 6-character code
  • Bring your own AI keys on the Connect AI page — optional; the table always has authored House voices

Your progress

Solo transcripts are kept in this browser only. In a live table nothing is stored server-side; only each seat's public answer is shared with the room, and API keys never leave the host's device or cross into the game.

Accessibility

Text-first: every seat's answer is a labelled line; the reveal is a plain list; color is never the only signal; a live region narrates whose turn it is.
